Happy St. Patrick's Day from The Spirit of David Kelly.

In the eighties, Channel 5 here in New York ran two british sitcoms, Man About The House & Robin's Nest. There's a good chance you haven't heard of them, but you are familiar with their american versions, Three's Company & Three's A Crowd. I always found the british versions to be funnier. There was one character on Robin's Nest who was particularity humorous and that was Albert Riddle. He was a one-armed dish washer and was played with a great deal of charm by the late David Kelly.
Having recently passed away in early February of this year, Kelly was well known across the globe. He established himself in his native Ireland on the stage, in film, and in television programs, notably Me Mammy, Strumpet City, and the BBC's Fawlty Towers. Kelly made a big impact on american audiences in the 1998 comedy, Waking Ned Devine, in which he played Michael O'Sullivan. He recently joined the large roster of actors appearing in Tim Burton's films when he played Grandpa Joe in 2005's Charlie & the Chocolate Factory.
