Green Lantern's light

I always considered Green Lantern to be one of the coolest comic book heroes. He has a power ring that can bring anything made by it's energy into existence. This is done solely by the wearer's force of will & that always appealed to me. What doesn't appeal to me is the Ryan Reynold's fronted project. Trapped somewhere between a feature film & a made-for-TV movie, Green Lantern has some good elements, but not enough to make it memorable. It certainly doesn't offer enough to warrant a sequel. A shame really considering the film has been on the burner since the early eighties.
