Total Recall #34: What the Hell is Going On!?!

Total Recall #33: Who is your Daddy? . .

Harry laughs at his friend's snappy comeback. He smiles and says to Quaid: "Come on, I'll buy ya a drink.".
"Listen, I'm already late", Quaid replies. "Thank you very much, but..".
Suddenly, three thuggish men slam into Quaid and grab him. Harry quickly pulls a gun from his coat and points it .. at Doug!
"Down here! Hurry!", orders Harry. He then looks at Quaid and yells: "Come on, move it! Let's go get that drink!".

Total Recall #32: Hey, Quaid!

"Harry!?". Quaid is startled to see his friend. What is he doing at this train station? Harry lives on the other side of town and always takes the bus to work!
Recovering from the initial surprise, Quaid stammers: "What trip?".
"You went to Rekall, remember?", says Harry.
Drawing a complete blank, Quaid replies: "I did?".
"Yeah, ya did!", Harry responds. "I told ya not to but ya went anyway...".

. . and now . .

When we last left Douglas Quaid, he was in a Johnny Cab traveling home. But, how did he get in the cab? And, why was he so late?. . .

Iron Man 2

Really happy with the way this turned out, as it looks exactly the way I wanted it to. Many people complained about this movie, saying it wasn't as good as the original but I though it was a good continuation of the story. Everybody was great in it and it didn't bore me. Don Cheadle was a solid replacement for Terence Howard & Mickey Rourke and Sam Rockwell were fantastic villains.
Since I was a kid, I've liked the character of Iron Man. The fact that he's an alcoholic added to the drama of his stories. It could also be said that he's one of the most prominent super heroes with a disability (there were others before him) & this amplifies his appeal. He struggles & fights despite his frailties. But, there's one main reason Iron Man is a great character: he looks cool. His armor uses two of the primary colors and his helmet was usually drawn with a scowl on his face. Since I've been crotchity from a very young age, I could identify with that early on.

Iron Man 2: Second Stage

Iron Man 2 was released on Blu-Ray & DVD a little over two weeks ago, the day after my computer problems started. Here's the intermediate stage drawing of the sketch that was first posted back on May 7th. Color was added to the "smoky two", the inks were finished, and the temporary word balloon was put in place. . .

Technical Difficulties

Technical difficulities suck. . . especially when you have a shit-load of new drawings to post. So, without further delay, here you go . . .

For this group shot of the foursome traveling towards the Sea of Green , I chose to alter the colors of their clothes seen in the film. Th...
